Recommended itineraries

Lake Gabou

These itineraries are intended for visitors who can travel the asphalt road linking the towns of Moudjeria, N'beika and Tidjijka. The suggested routes make use of desert roads and experienced drivers will be needed, especially in the dune fields and/or the muddy tracts of the wadis and tamourts, where vehicles often get stuck.

Itinerary 1. Moudjeria-Lake Gabou-Ksar al Bark. (2 days).

A route across the Echetf Pass towards Tintan to reach Lake Gabou, following the White River (Wad al Abiod) as far as Ksar al Barka.
Tamourt Naaj en N'Beika
Itinerary 2. Nbeika-Guelta Matmata-Guelta Tkhsutin (1 day).

A short trip to visit Guelta Matmata and Guelta Tkhsutin, where you can see crocodiles.
Tamourt Marshla
Itinerary 3. Marshla-Jouseiniya (1 day).

An excellent route for seeing aquatic birds, monitor lizards and crocodiles as well as dune fields alternating with verdant pools and lagoons.
Acharim
Itinerary 4. Tin Oudin-Cuevas Oscuras-Acharim (2 days).

The is the best route to visit the rock paintings of Tagant.
Baobad El Gidya
Itinerary 5. El Gidya-Gendel (2 days).

A trip combining spectacular landscapes, crocodiles, baobabs and rock paintings.
